Meaning Of The Word “Meezan”
Assalamu Alaikum
In the Meezan and Furqan series, in episode 4 from 16 to 18:30, Ghamidi sahab tries to explain the fallacy in translating the word meezan to “‘adl” (justice). There he said that it means that “on the preaching of Prophets people should become just, and that’s not true. In that people have to decide if they want to become just”. Firstly, i didn’t understand how did he make that point based on translating the word to “adl”, didn’t get the connecting point. Secondly, even if you say that Meezan is Quran and is there to give a verdict in indifferences among people in the case of religion, like there as well it is people who are gonna decide if they want to solve the indifferences. So translating either way, it doesn’t guarantee but people will decide? Thirdly, translating the word to “adl” makes also sense in the context of Farahi discourse. That Rasuls came with “adl” that they brought justice from God which is gonna be established on the day of judgement. So in this way “adl” translation makes sense too.
