Recently a well known Islamic scholar visited Pakistan, and has been giving many controversial and unnecessary statements in my opinion, where many people are supporting him as well. First , he got off from the stage when a woman had to be given an award or something, just because she wasn’t covered properly or something like this, then he said he was refused a preferential treatment by PIA and wasn’t ready to pay the actual amount and was upset that he was charged the ticket price rather than being allowed to travel for free. He was questioning the hospitality of Pakistanis because of this. And ive also seen many other Islamic scholars expecting such treatment from others or showing arrogance at times. My question is, even though I have never agreed with him, isn’t it an example of Takabbur? Not wanting to be treated equally or disrespecting the presence of others.

In general, If you have issue with someone, asking that person for clarification is the best approach rather than back biting and complaining to irrelevent people.

You can judge certain actions and beliefs based on Quran but understanding others point of view is necessary too before judging.

If you condiser any action unislamic, please open new thread and ask about it without reference to anyone.
