  • Is Jumma Prayer Obligatory If Khutba Is Given By A Scholar Or Imam?

I live in Pakistan and in the mosque near me, khutba is given by a scholar or imam and not by a leader. Do I still have to go to the mosque to offer juma prayer or can I just offer the dhuhr prayer at home? I can try to go to mosque to offer juma prayer but only in a sense that it is recommended because I get to offer prayer in mosque which gives me more deeds than offering prayer at home

According to the law, if the Muslim government arranges the Friday prayer, the Muslims must attend the Friday Prayer, if the government does not arrange it, the Muslims themselves arrange it, then the Muslims are free to choose to join the Friday prayer or not. If they attend the Friday prayer in this case, they are advised to repeat it by saying Zuhar prayer too.
