AssalamuAlaikum, I apologize for asking this quesion as a separate question, but I really need help in this. I want to know if an employee recently got to know/confirmed from one of the main people of the company that they’re actually doing scam, like 60 to 70 percent the income being generated thru scams or illegal means. the employee who wasn’t completely aware of all this when he joined this company, worked for a few months, should he leave the job right away after knowing this?. or is there any margin that he can at least work for a few more days to get the coming salary? As he worked for 27 days this month and now he got to know all this.

This question is important as we read “”And do not help one another in sin and transgression”, so leaving the job right away should be done? or the employee can take the coming salary by working a few more days and then leave?

If he doesn’t leave, then he will be asked to work on a few things that are incomplete (like fixing errors on websites, content, and the corporate brand that this employee took ownership of). The employee is in fear that what should he do, leave job right away and leave this month’s salary, or leave after taking the salary.

As for the employee background, he is from a middle class family, and currently has no other job in hand.

If the employee’s job did not involve anything unethical, one’s salary against one’s work is halal and one should take it. The employee is not responsible for the misuse of his product or programs, especially when he does not know about the nature of its use. However, from now on, one should not work with them as now he knows that his work will be misused for sure.

So he should leave this month’s salary and just quit right away? As he got to know 2 days ago, and this full month’s salary will come in the next 8 -10 days.

Also, won’t it be unethical he leaves some work halfway without completing and just quit instantly?

The answer to your first question is already given in the first response.

Ethically you know that you should inform them and leave.
