AoA, kindly explain the meaning of this ayat. Quran is saying only Allah knows about the things mentioned in this ayat but some of these things can be known to us such as ultra sound can tell us the gender of the baby and today’s technology has made us able to make artificial rain so we know about that too. So what is the real meaning of this ayat?

    Please read the words carefully.

Only God knows that time. [Do you not see that] it is He Who sends down rain and knows what is in the wombs. No one knows what he will earn tomorrow and no one knows the place he will die. [But can a sane person deny these things?] In reality, God alone is aware of all and has knowledge of everything.

They are, Allah knows what is in the womb and he sends rain. It doesn’t say only Allah knows what is in womb and that no one else can cause rain. God says He grows the crops but it is well known that man grows the crops. The same is for rain. It means that man just follow the laws of science and cause a thing but God is the actual doer.

However, for the thing which others cannot know the words used in the verse are different. The knowledge of the last hour is with him only That no one knows what he will earn and no knows. in what land one will die.

The precision of the words is remarkable and miraculous.

Sharing from my own experience I really wondered about this ayat while living in one of the country which is extremely advanced in medical field and I thought medical science is watching me enough. I still shiver with the experience which I had last minute and if Allah had not forgave me I would have been in extreme misery now. Believe you me Allah is the only one who has ultimate knowledge about mother’s womb and we as human be always relying on His Mercy. And I have noticed this humble attitude even in non Muslim doctors who believe that human knowledge has limits. May Allah bless us all and show His kind dimension to us always.
