    I simply don’t understand how the practices of the Prophet play such a fundamental role in the religion. God in the Quran states that;

    “Say, O Prophet, “Should I seek a judge other than Allah while He is the One Who has revealed for you the Book with the truth perfectly explained?” Those who were given the Scripture know that it has been revealed to you from your Lord in truth. So do not be one of those who doubt” (6:114).

    Does this verse not only say that the practices of jurisprudence of Islam should only be found in the Quran, and that the Quran is fully detailed?

    This has been on my mind for a very long time, and I would be very grateful for an answer, thank you.

    This verse tells about the metaphysical truth which could only be known from God. So He revealed it. Now what he requires us to do is another question. He requires us to believe in this truth and obey the messenger. Learn the rituals from him and act upon them.

    مَّن يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ ۖ وَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا

    He who obeys the Messenger in fact obeyed God. And he who turned away, [you are not responsible for him because] We have not sent you to be their guardian.
