Quran 107:7 – Unconditional Charity
As-salamu alaykum
With reference to Surah Ma’un that says 107:4 “So woe to those ˹hypocrites˺ who pray”
And 107:7 “and refuse to give ˹even the simplest˺ aid” , I had a question that made me upset.
We always try our best to follow this and help everyone but at times our neighbours ask for things that can be given but are usually returned damaged. For example washing machine, motor bike or car etc.
In this case, you don’t want to say no because Allah has asked us to help but we can’t risk these things getting damaged.
Is there a limit to what can be borrowed or shared with our neighbours? Can we say no if it’s expensive and you are worried of it getting damaged like a car or any home appliance?
