I have heard from Ustad Ghamidi Sahib in “Dars Surah Alanam Part 5” that We are obligated to the extent of our understanding, not the understanding of our superiors, my question is that our understanding of Deen is very low why not we listen to Sir Ghamidi while listening to our own understanding? Woulnt Allah ask us why we donot listen to a Scholar? When we get sick we listen to doctor instead of ourselves… could you please elaborate Gahmidi’s view to the raised questions…

    Regards,

To establish technical or expert opinions are not required from a layman. However, A layman tries to understand and choose from the expert opinions. He decides which opinion is better. In this capacity, everyone is responsible for their understanding.
