Niceties Of Salah
I would like to take your response on the following questions regarding niceties of Salah:-
1. Is it compulsory to say a short surah after al-fatihah in Salah? Can this short surah be read in every rakah (esp. in the case of 4 rakah read together in Duhr, Asr, Isha)? Can the same short surah be read in every Salah?
2. What is an exhaustive list of the optional parts of Salah?
3. Can duas from Qur’an be read while in sujood and ruku if done not for the purpose of reciting Qur’an but as a dua mentioned in the Quran?
4. What are the ways in which hands should not be tied in Salah?
5. Can the salawat on aal e Muhammad and aal e Ibrahim be sent in one’s own language? For that matter, kindly state the parts of Salah that may be performed in one’s own language?
6. In the case of witr, can one rakah of Salah be prayed since one is also odd like three? (Sahih Muslim, 752)
7. Can one pray Salah in junoob state with tayammum without ghusl even though water is available but use of water for bathing at that time is rather odd or awkward or injurious to health (winters/Nordic regions)? Does the presence of water unconditionally render the tayammum done by man in junoob state void?
8. Kindly mention some authentic prayers made by the prophet for seeking forgiveness from the Lord?
One rather off topic question:-
On what basis will Allah, most exalted grant intercession to believers? In surah Naba, it states that angels and even Gabriel will be standing, hands tied, in rows, for permission of the Lord before speaking, what does this imply with regards to grant of intercession?

It is compulsory to recite a Surah after Fatiha. You can recite any sura or any part of it.
Except for the azkaar, other than Fatiha and surah, the whole prayer is compulsory.
