    Hello there,

    Assallam u alaikum

my question is that when an animal is slaughtered with

    – other than name of Allah

    – no name mentioned of anyone by the slaughterer

will other non dietary uses of that animal be allowed? like using skin for leather or any other non dietry use?

The prohibition is only for the consumption of the meat of that animal. External use its parts is not prohibited.

@Irfan76 okay sir, actually about an animal that died because of natural causes I know this concept that external use of allowed, because the impurity is physical i.e. blood and related to diet. so after the cleansing it like tanning etc will remove this impurity, and then using it is no problem.

but a thought came in mind that the impurity of shirk associated is non-tangible and related to belief associated with that animal. which is not measurable that when does it become separated from impurity. so is there a possibility that religion requires us to avoid the animal as a whole? or the context in belief impurity is only and only related to its dietary consumption?

The act of slaughtering without the name of God is prohibited. It is not contagious to other things of the dead animals.
