Asllam o alikum sir, This is Umair Akbar from Lahore. I have a question that I have heard Maulana Tariq Jamil that he says even if father has killed his own son then he won’t be punished or accountable for it on the day of judgment. Is it true? The issue with me is My father has been so cruel to his Children’s. He has done a sin that can’t be explained in a Good manners. He has tried to drugged his own son and tried to put his son on a path that leads to rape. He always blamed to his son for the loss of his Business when he was just 6 years old. He said I’m abomination and that he made the reason to do so. He got that depressed after the loss of his Business or wealth that he lost his ability to think. He was so cruel to his daughters as well and was involved in illegal activities but he didn’t achieved his goal. So will my father will be held accountable for it for ruining the life of his children.

    Regards,

There is no such immunity given to anyone in Islam. Parents are answerable to God for the responsibility of their children as the children are responsible for their duty towards their parents.

In law, it is sometimes discussed that a father should be sentenced to death for killing his son because he must have a powerful reason to do so, however, the court should decide the matter according to the situation. If a father is found guilty, he can be punished by the death sentence. But with God, every sin is accountable.
