Cutting Ties With Family Members
My q is
I heard in islam cutting ties with family.members is a major sin. I don’t know the hadiths , you guys probably know it.
But my situation is, some members of family I have cut ties because it a bit dangerous to visit them. The fights and arguing and it gets very worse. And then one feels very bad about oneself. Is it ok to avoid to meet some of the family members of they don’t want to meet and seek fights always?
Would I be sinfull to not meet them?
Or is there any condition that I am allowed not to meet them to preserve peace of myself?

To avoid seeing someone is not cutting the ties. You can meet them when it is necessary but for regular meetings You can choose not to see some people.
