Why does Islam directly reject reincarnation of the soul. Are belief is that we are born once and live a life with a set of principles and according to our way of life enter hell or heaven and this is decided on the day of judgment. But isn’t it too cruel of god that a person makes a mistake for let’s say 80 years of their life but will spend eternity in jahanum?in addition to this every persons lives are different some have a very tough life in every way possible and some are just born as kings ..,the debate that comes is that every person has their own test and god rewards you with that but here the questions comes that let’s say a person was born an orphan and lived a horrible life and followed each Islamic rule and due to this would be sent to let’s say to one of the highest ranks of jannah on the other hand if a person is born in good circumstances and lives exactly like the other person following the rules the person will also go to heaven but there will be a difference between the ranks of both .Why ?is that not unfair in the long term for the one born in a better circumstance ?

This is a misconception that a person in test of sabr will be rewarded more than the person in the rest of Shukr. Qur’an tells the story of Ayub and Solomon, the king, side by side to tell that both were rewarded for what they had.

The people who will go to eternal hell, are the ones who deliberately choose the external punishment.

Still, we can hope from the hints of the Qur’an that the Hell might not be eternal. Jannah is the promise of God while Hell is His warning. God won’t retract His promise but can withdraw His warning.

But what about those verses in Quran where Allah says the evil doers will stay forever in hellfire. Ashaabunaari hum fiha khalidun for example.

      Will He retract this?

      Can you elaborate?

      JazakumuLlah

The answer is already provided. If an authority withdraws the punishment it has annoced, it is considered mercy, unlike retracting from promise.
