Maafi & Talaafi (recompense) For Tawbah
Maafi (seeking forgiveness) is understood that the party whose right is violated, is asked for forgiveness. whether it’s Allah or along with Allah, another human being.
But what is Talaafi? is it required in every sin to be washed out?
in huqooq ul ibad matters, talafi is often referred to either getting forgiveness from aggrieved party (maafi) or paying them some sort of recompense (talafi).
but in huqooq Allah matters, maafi is to ask for forgiveness. but what is talafi in relation to Allah? does it mean to reverse the effects of a sin? are we all required to reverse the effects of sin action to former level as much as my nature limit reaches?
