The head “should be wiped completely because the use of ’ ب‘ in ’وَامْسَحُوْا بِرُءُ وْسِکُمْ (Quran 5:6) signifies completeness”.However many women have long hair in buns which can cover a significant part of their head. Should they just wipe over the bun or around it as it is not always possible to wipe thoroughly over a hairstyle?

Hair on the head is included in the head. Men and women just run a wet hand over their heads, they need not disturb the hairstyle.
