Hilarious Poetry
I was reading a poem (to my wife) in which poet said “going to hell is better than living with his mother-in-law and that when his wife went to hell all the guards of hell ran away”.
My wife admonished me, that I should not be enjoying this type of poetry because ALLAH swt has said that “whoever mocks My ayat in this world, I will forget him on the day of judgement”.
So is there a verse of Quran saying this?
So is it wrong to listen to this type of poetry?

This is just a poetic expression of disapproval in a funny way, not distorting the verse of God. Poetry has a poetic license that takes liberty.
