I am contributing to the government for Social Health Insurance and Welfare Pension Insurance, and I am also obligated to give zakat. Is it possible for me to exclude social health insurance and welfare pension from the Zakat amount, as Ghamidi Sab mentioned that income tax can be excluded from the total Zakat?

If these deductions from your income is for your personal good, which will return to you, it is not the tax which can be counted as zakat paid. It is your own savings.

If You elaborate on the nature of this deduction then we may guide you in a better way.

    Thank you sir

I currently reside in Japan, where I have two deductions: health insurance and pension benefits. What is your opinion on both?
