Are Seed Oils (Sunflower Oil, Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Grapseed Oil, Safflower Oil, Cottonseed Oil, Trans Fat and Margarine) Haram to consume especially when we now know their harms on human health and they were originally invented for machine lubricants? Edible and safe oils are Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Ghee, and Beef Tallow. Can you please convey to Ghamidi sahab too since he also suffers Heart health problem.

Yes, I personally believe they are haram because Seed oils contain PUFAs, when reactive oxygen species (ROS) interact with these, they extract hydrogen atoms from the double bonds, creating lipid radicals. These radicals then combine with oxygen molecules to produce peroxyl radicals, which can attack nearby lipids. This starts a chain reaction that produces more radicals and lipid hydroperoxides. The oxidation of LDL produces oxLDL, which is a key factor in the buildup of foam cells and atherosclerotic plaques (arterial plaque). There are also toxic byproducts like MDA and 4-HNE. Seed oils oxidize even at room temperature, and cooking speeds up the process alot, so getting oxLDL is inevitable when consuming seed oils.

The evidence is rooted in simple biochemistry.

This is the reason why heart disease is the leading cause of death world wide.

    Hope this helps.

Please note, without a valid reason or argument, dont consider anything haram or halal.
Please see verse Surah At-Tahrim (66:1)

    Translation (Sahih International):

O Prophet, why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking the approval of your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

For dietary laws, the principle of halal and haram is based on purity not injurious to health. For details see Discussion 1641

If it was just harm for considering things haram, then everything would have become haram even sugar, salt or oils or soft drinks etc. even excess oxygen can be harmful.

One can choose to avoid food based on personal choice/ scientific reasoning. However calling it haram should be avoided.
