  • Why Islam Isn’T Clear And Precise

There seems to be a lot of confusion in Islam regarding various aspects, such as Taraweeh, the authenticity of Hadith, Zakat, the punishment for not praying, and the concept of Parda. Different scholars give different answers, and a common person cannot research all of Islam in-depth to align their life exactly with its teachings. For them, the Quran is difficult to understand, and they also question the authenticity of Hadith.
Was a person sent to this world just to spend their entire life searching for what is true and only then start practicing it?
Even when we buy a mobile phone, it comes with clear instructions on what to do and what not to do. If Islam is a universal religion, why doesn’t it have precise and to-the-point guidelines? Why does it seem so open to interpretation? If it is truly the one true religion, shouldn’t its teachings be clearer?

The religion is quite clear and easy. It is well defined and known. There are certain set of beliefs and certain set of actions which comprise Islam. Halal and haram are clear. For a layman the whole Islam is described in the hadith e Jibrael.

Then comes technical problems among scholars. This is scholarly domain. Here, a layman is supposed to compare the arguments of the scholars and adopt an opinion.

We are sent here for a test. The test is not only of our actions but the first step of the test is of our understanding. This faculty of understanding has to be involved too, as it is used when one has to decide among different opinions of different doctors. We do it all the time in every matter of life. We have to take pains to do the same for the sake of religion to do our best.

Islam is a religion and a discipline of knowledge. Like any other discipline, it has certain definite foundations and then some technical problems which test the scholar, and test a layman to choose from them with deliberation and honestly.
