“Assalamu alaikum, respected Ghamdi sb. I have a question regarding children in mosques during prayer times. In one Calgary Canada mosque, children are not allowed in the main prayer hall during Taraweeh prayers and are instead directed to a separate hall. Is this restriction in line with Islamic principles? Are there any Hadith or Quranic verses that address this issue? Should children be encouraged to attend prayers with their parents, even if they might make some noise, or is it better to provide a separate space for them?”

It is all.aboit adminstration. There is not restrictions or instructions in this regard. However, from the example of the prophet we know that small children used to come with their mothers and when child cried, the prophet shortened the prayer so that the mother might attend her child.
