    Assalamu Alaikum

Do I have a right understanding of this chronological order that first during the phase of conclusive argument (Itmam e Hujjat), according ti Al Bayan’s intro of Al-Nisaa, the first revelation regarding adulterers and prostitutes came in Al-Nisaa. Then during the same phase, after a little time, in the pair surah of Al-Nisaa; revelation regarding penalty of prostitutes came, the verses of Fasad-fil-ard in Al Maidah:32-33. And during the later phase of prophetic mission, before taking any ultimate steps in the application of punishment of Itmam e Hujjah, according to the introduction of Surah Al-Nur in Al Bayan; the verses of penalty of adulterers were revealed. So after the first revelation got revelation regarding prostitutes revealed then after a while got revealed the verses of penalty of adulterers?

Secondly, in the verses regarding adulterers one sees a real connection that first it was revealed to “chastise” them, then this verse got abrogated when 100 lashes verse got revealed. But in the verses regarding prostitution one doesn’t see a clear connection. It was told to confine them util they die or God finds a way for them. But when “Fasad-fil-ard” verses were revealed, one doesn’t find a clear connection that these verse are “the way” which God had promised?

    The first understanding is right.

The second question, the verse of Fasad fil Ard, in general, which includes all forms of Fasad. The prophet punished them with the punishment of Fasad fil Ard.

Regarding the question, Ghamidi sahab in a way answered that at the end of episode 4 of series “Maut ki saza”. So what I have understood that Prophet SAW had an understanding that the crime of prostitution is not an ordinary crime like adultery. So, God actually wanted people, and Prophet SAW himself, to ponder over that themselves. Hence, instead of making a clear connection God revealed the principle in that regards and left the rest on them? Is that true?

    Right.
