My question is , there is a well known game called “genshin impact” , the lore started from the main character’s sibling getting kidnapepd by a in-game “goddess” n the character is suppose to save her/his sibling , and in game at certain level there is a statue of the village and the character has to worship it to gain elemental abilities and stamina, by worshipping means it doesnt show if they are worshipping , you just have to tap the options “worship the statue” and it just unlocks the stamina , so my conflict begins from here , i have no idea if it’s ok to play it , cz we only worship allah but my friends and many people say, that we are not worshipping the statue as we know what is our fiath and where we stand , it is just a game and its an in game mechanics to gain stamina and there is no clear act of wroship as well and as long as you know that You only worship Allah and fulfill the duties bestowed upon you , you shall be fine but some scholars say how can you play such a game , i am so confused kindly help me out with this

The actual prohibition is that of doing Shirk or having shirk as a belief system. However, Movies or Games containing any such motivations or explicit references to Polytheistic Acts should be avoided on sadd-e-zariya principle as constantly watching these things can make a person very lenient about severity of these things and it may lead one to get involved into such acts himself one day, because of lower threshold developed in a person with constant watching such acts. But no fatwa of absolute prohibition can be given in this regard, because absolute prohibitions are very explicitly mentioned in Quran.
