If everyone knew and was reciting qiraat al ammah why did it take over 1000 years for ghamidi and farahi to solve the problem? Why didn’t the early Muslims and scholars etc know that hafs was the true reading all along?

Qirat e Ammah has always been there. Some people when started confusing it with Hafs as an individual qirat, then it has to be reminded that Hafs qirat is not one of the recitations but obviously the Qirat Amma which the whole ummah is reciting and scholars writing tafseer on it and Fuqaha consulting it.
