Ghamid Sahab’S Interpretations Of 22:46
For 22:46 in his tafseer ghamidi sahab take the part ” it’s not eyes that are blind but the hearts which are in chests” as a literary expression wherein it’s referring originally to brain:
دلوں کے ساتھ یہ قید اِس بات کا قرینہ ہے کہ آنکھوں کے ساتھ بھی ’فی الرؤوس‘ یا اِس کے ہم معنی کوئی لفظ محذوف ہے۔ ہم نے ترجمے میں اُسے کھول دیا ہے۔ یہ سائنس کی نہیں، بلکہ ادب کی زبان ہے اور ادبی زبان میں دماغ کے بیش تر افعال دل ہی کی طرف منسوب کیے جاتے ہی

There seems an apparent slight difference in his description. His stance is Heart is the center or source of understanding or perceiving truth according to the Qur’an. Brian on the other hand does cognitive functions. However, Qur’an uses the terms hearts because it deals its functions.

The video then is the better description of his position? That a person’s real identity resides in his heart and it may operate via brain.
