Is praying witr after Isha wajib?

It is nafl. Witr is actually Tahajjud prayer. It was obligatory for the prophet but nafl for the ordinary Muslims. The prophet allowed it to be offered with Isha but its actual time is after midnight.

@Irfan76 Sir, is it blameworthy to wake up before fajr r but pray witr with isha since I wake up earlier to take care of certain chores sometimes but am usually in a rush ?

In the matters of nafal, nothing is blameworthy. It is a matter of achieving something more.
