I have a question about Iftar time. Our masjid published a calendar with timing of sunset (maghrib) but has said to add 2-3 minutes to the time for iftar.

Some fiqh opinions say we shouldn’t wait and break the fast right away while others say to wait 2-3 minutes to confirm sunset. What should we follow and why?

The ones who suggest not to delay, mean that after the Ittar time comes, one should not delay. Now the question is, if the Iftar time has come or not, it is suggested to wait for a while to confirm that the time has started.

Thank you so much for answering. I am assuming this is the opinion of Ghamidi sahab right?

This is in the line of his principles.
