Dr. Irfan Shahzad
Scholar March 20, 2025 at 2:02 amThey should pray to God for their forgiveness and increase in their ranks in Jannah if they have made a will or advice, they should fulfill it if it is just and reasonable. They should take care of their siblings and the ones who were dear to them.

Few more clarifying questions:
1. If one’s parent used to give money to people on regular basis, if they pass away and their son continues to do that initiative – will the reward be passed to one’s parents as a Sadqa – e – Jariya considering they started this initiative and son is continuing?
2. Some kids pay regular money to their parents while they are alive, if parents pass away and kids start giving that money for construction of Masjid or other good causes. Will that be considered Sadqa e Jariya for their parents as it is their money while they were alive?
3. If kids read zikr and Quran and other good dead’s with intention to donate the reward to their parents. Does this reward passed to their parents?

Scholar March 20, 2025 at 3:44 amThe third point has no basis in Islam.
The second will avail no swab until parents have directed to do something good with that money.
The parents will receive the reward of their good deeds or investment for good they made in something and the advice they made to do a good.

Point 2 and 3 are good deeds of kids so do you mean parents will be rewarded automatically?

Scholar March 20, 2025 at 8:58 pmSince parents train their children to do good deeds, so when the children do good, the reward of their good deeds goes to their parents too.
