    Assalamu Alikum.

    Sir my question is:

“In Islamic inheritance law, if a person passes away before his father, why do his children not inherit their deceased parent’s share from the grandfather’s estate in the absence of a will? What is the wisdom behind this ruling?”

According to our understanding the grandchildren are entitled to receive the share of their deceased parents from their grandparents.

Please refer to the following video

Is there a response of Ghamidi Sahab on this issue and is there any reference in Quran and Hadith.

I have seen in Kashmir and other parts of India, even the courts deprive the orphaned grandchildren (in muslim families) in the inheritance from the estate of their deceased grandfather, citing the shariah Law and the estate is distributed among the living children only (in absence of a will)
