    Assallam u alaikum,

Things are talked about about khwahish, then irada and then iqdaam (step taken) and gunah sarzad. I’m confused a little.

Here ghamidi sahab said that only khwahish is not accountable, here khwahish means simple natural urge? Or something more ahead of it?

If a person decided to in his mind to do sin, but then didn’t take any step himself to accomplish this sin, and then later changed his decision. Will he be punished for his decision in mind merely? Here I want to give 2 examples…

    1) a person decides that when he will receive share from an asset in inheritance then he’ll spend it in immorality and gambling. But after some months and before receiving share he changed his decision. Here it was mere decision but no action with it. Will he be sinful here?

    2) a person decides to travel to a country to spend some days in Zina and lavish parties. He gets tickets and visa and does mundane actions like going to offices to get documents for traveling and then physically traveling to that country with an aim of lavish parties. But soon after landing he changed his decision. Here decision was followed by some action but not direct action to commit sin (unlike a person who does direct action of triggering a gun to kill someone but the gun jam). Here in this case will this person who decided to go to that country and went, will he be sinful?

He will not be sinful for wishing or going ahead in the dorection of sin but changes his mind before he commits sin.

    The principle is

Unless a sin is committed the person is not sinful.

@Irfan76 sir but in this video ghamidi sahab says that an intention occurs (which I think is a feeling of urge or wish) then pukta irada (commitment) occurs, then later stages and occurring of sin. And he says that the thing that saves us from accountability is that the person merely had an intention. But if it turns into ‘pukhta irada’ then it will become ‘nateeja khez’ both here and in hereafter… Doesn’t he mean here that pukhta irada makes prepares one for accountability because he says it becomes nateeja khez in akhirat
