I came across free will argument and i found the arguments against free will stronger. Like the argument against Free will is that for human mind to work there are two possibilities.

Either, Human mind is working on cause and effect and everything we do is determined since the beginning bcz cause and effect is an going change and we can noy do anything about it.

OR, if it’s not determined than it’s random and we don’t have any control over randomness, like what can we do if our mind is just working randomly.

If I say it in one sentence then

“Everything is either determined or Random and in both cases you don’t have any control over”

I want to ask what can be the possible argument against this in favour of free will.

In a border fram of determinism you have choices to make. For example you can choose to eat a burger or pizza, or don’t eat anything, but don’t have choice to live without food.

sir in determinism there is no choice. that’s what determinism is about. choosing between pizza and burger was determined. and we have no control over it. that’s what determinist say. i want to know if we have a counter argument against this.

    Their argument.

“Everything is either determined and we can’t have control over determined things. OR If it’s not Determined then it’s Random and we can’t control Random thoughts or action and that’s why we don’t have free will”
