    “It is originally domain of the state w.r.t the mechanism put in place for declaration of Ramdhan and Eid. In the absence of such mechanism in place, Muslim communities living in a Non-Muslim majority country should make some kind of union to decide such matters. And in absence of such a union, one can opt following Saudi Arabia or can follow a scientific calendar in this regard”.

    Above is the response by Umer sb on one of the posts regarding moon sighting. Since we don’t have any such union here in US, a person who believes following calendar is the right thing to do, should he follow the masjid he normally goes to even if they believe in actually seeing the moon or he should go to some other masjid who follows calendar?
