Explanation Needed For Muslim 2771
Uh so there’s an Hadith in Muslim which goes like this:
Anas reported that a person was charged with fornication with the slavegirl of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said to ‘Ali:
Go and strike his neck. ‘Ali came to him and he found him in a well making his body cool. ‘Ali said to him: Come out, and as he took hold of his hand and brought him out, he found that his sexual organ had been cut. Hadrat ‘Ali refrained from striking his neck. He came to Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) and said: Allah’s Messenger, he has not even the sexual organ with him.

Idt it’s in bukhari, it’s just in this book
It kinda confused me that nauzubillah did Prophet PBUH give out a wrong judgement?
But then I came across this Hadith in Musnad Ahmed which talks about Prophet PBUH telling Ali r.a to investigate even after He PBUH sends him on a mission sth…
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
I said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), when you send me on a mission, should I go and do what you tell me to do (with no delay) or witness and find out what someone who is not there cannot find out? He said:
Witness and find out what someone who is not there cannot find out.
and then there’s this Hadith in which Prophet PBUH said His PBUH’s judgements can be wrong as He is human…
Narrated Um Salama:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “I am only a human being, and you people have disputes. May be some one amongst you can present his case in a more eloquent and convincing manner than the other, and I give my judgment in his favor according to what I hear. Beware! If ever I give (by error) somebody something of his brother’s right then he should not take it as I have only, given him a piece of Fire.” (See Hadith No. 638. Vol. 3)

I’m probably getting carried away here but I tried to reconcile the first Hadith with these two but the problem still stands for me, like is there a reason why Prophet PBUH gave the order for that dude in the first Hadith to be executed? Isn’t the punishment for zina lashes or stoning? Or was he supposed to get punished for something else, im sort of confused here.
Kindly pls explain whats going on here or if im missing any context or anything rly!
