Seara is a Brazilian brand with a halal certification.

Can we trust the word of non Muslims to reliably communicate whether our meat is halal or not. However the people issuing the halal certificates are Muslims so maybe I trust them ? I read a fatwa asking to avoid any meat even with halal certificate from foreign countries as all meat is haram except when proven otherwise and there is too much deception in our days, citing this Hadith from Sahih Bukhari:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If you let loose your hound after a game and mention Allah’s Name on sending it, and the hound catches the game and kills it, then you can eat of it. But if the hound eats of it, then you should not eat thereof, for the hound has caught it for itself. And if along with your hound, joined other hounds, and Allah’s Name was not mentioned at the time of their sending, and they catch an animal and kill it, you should not eat of it, for you will not know which of them has killed it

One needs reason not to trust. In the foreign countries the attitude of deceiving with public certification is rare. If Muslims scholars have certified it, one needs not to be suspicious with no reason, unless one has evidence that it is a fraud.
