    Assalam O Alaikum,

    (Sahih al-Bukhari 3675)

    Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (ﷺ) once climbed the mountain of Uhud with Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman. The mountain shook with them. The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to the mountain), “Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs. (Sunnah.com)

Does the hadith mentioned above justify the knowledge of unseen of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

How did the Prophet know the two Sahabas will be martyred?

The prophet was informed by God about certain events of future. There are many predictions which he made. He knew only what God told him.

Dr. Irfan Shahzad brother, thank you so much for your response. I appreciate the Ghamidi sahib’s team’s approach to make people’s religious confusion clarify relentlessly.

Brother, I am going to add something to my question, I would be grateful if you could spare a bit of time to put some light on that. It’s,

As we know that there are multiple aspects of unseen knowledge mentioned in the Quran. And in it, the Prophet always says that it’s through the REVELATION that Allah sends to me.

But, some of the people from some particular sects mention these type of ahadiths to justify the unseen knowledge of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As you said in your previous response that there are multiple predictions that the Prophet made, so apart from the future mentioned in the Quran, is there anything about the predictions made by the Prophet that shows clearly that they were informed by Allah?

(It’s a fact that Allah teaches everything a prophet knows. My question is just to ask for any indication that can remove the common misconception about the TITLE.)

      Thank you Dr. IRFAN SHAHZAD.

Future prediction with accurate precision is not a human domain of knowledge. It needs an extra source of information.

The verse following makes it clear:

Say: I do not know whether the punishment with which you are being threatened is imminent or whether My Lord will postpone it a little more.

[These are matters of the Unseen, and] only He knows this Unseen, and He also never reveals this Unseen to anyone.

As for those whom He chooses as His messengers, they can say nothing of their own; He guards them from behind and from the front. (72: 25-27)
