I am unable to understand the first Statement. “And (also prohibited to you are) married women except those your right hand possess.

Doesn’t “right hand possess” mean slave girls.

I am not aware of Arabic Grammar and framing of sentences, but to a simple mind, this verse would seem like …..”All married women are prohibited except those married women among your slaves”, but how come there would be married women among slaves?

What is the proper translation of this verse?

It also means the ones who are captured. If they were free women, they were offered to marry a Muslim, if they wanted, or they were set free after taking ransom or without ransom, depending upon the situation.
