Do Souls Meet In Barzakh Life
Assalamoalaikum brother,
There is a concept that is taught by various Muslim scholars that once a human soul taken and it goes into Barzakh life, the soul meets other souls who passed away before and can deliver message from living people.
Is above concept true and does hadith quoted on this matter authentic? I am also attaching a link of an Islamic scholar video lecture on this concept.

First Issue: The Holy Quran is very clear in this matter that the dead do not hear.
Secondly: The good Souls are kept in illyyoon and the bad souls are kept in sijjeen.
Thirdly: Regarding the souls talking to each other in Barzakh, there are multiple narrations regarding it, but these are the matter of unseen and we cannot say what the kaifiyah is.
For extremely detailed analysis of every single narration regarding Barzakhi life and the dead hearing, refer to “Nida e Haq” by Muhammad Hussain Neelvi.

Regarding your second point – I understood you are referring here to Surah Mutafafeen which talks about affairs of various souls on day of judgement.
Regarding your third point, are these narrations authentic sahih or weak?
