In a hypothetical situation, if someone takes a bribe to pass a student because their mother urgently needs money for life-saving cancer treatment, and there is no other available option — how serious would this sin be in Islam?

Qur’an says us that in the situation of compulsion one is allowed to consume haram to save one’s life. But this consumption is only to the extent to save one’s life.

Sir, what about a scenario in which a killer asks you to change the post-mortem report to get away with the murder?

Would that still be considered permissible if someone is in desperate need, like in the previous example?

If it is a life threat it is permissible to save one’s life in this situation. What is bigger sin, shirk and kufr or letting go a murderer? God has allowed to utter a word of kufr to save one’s life.
