It is not known, at least to me. However Umar thought that it was because of his sake that the prophet didn’t divorce her.
One should know that divorcing one’s wife in Arabia did not need a big reason as it is a grave problem in our society. Incompatibility was enough a reason that men used to divorce and women seek Khula.
