No one should be misled by these words that it was a temporary measure that was adopted to secure Muslim women from the mischief of miscreants and it is no longer needed. Firstly, all directives have a cause and it does not mean that if that cause ceases to exist the directives will become null and void. Secondly,can a sane person claim that today’s circumstanes are not a thousand times worse than those of that period? Moreover, today’s society has become totally devoid of the concepts of modesty and chastity taught by the Qur’ān.
These are words used in the tafsir translation regarding Surah Al AHzab ayat 59. Since Islahi was the teacher of Ghamidi sb why do they clash on this matter? And please tell which is correct?

Ghamidi saheb has explained his disagreement with his teacher in his video series ok Prada. Mawlana islahi ignored the fact that the it isn’t only motive that initiated this command but its purpose has been enunciated in the verse by God, that is, to prevent the mischievous one from teasing the women and it served as a warning before the guvernmet’s operation against them.
