is life a test? and is everything that’s happening to us a test? or the test just includes some specific things? is everything that happens to us like us getting diseases, getting injured in an earthquake? losing our loved ones, seeing our loved ones suffer? is it from God? like god already determined how we will get tested? like we will get injured in an earth quake?

i get it. but I’m asking about the things that other people do to us. Like your uncle deprives your father of his share in inheritance which would lead to poverty. Someone raping or killing a person close to you. Are these things which are considered crimes, committed by people, a test too?

like is it a test for me that someone robs me.

In my opinion, in a way yes.

What people do wrong is their choice failing their test.

What we do after wrongdoing become our test

if that’s the case then one can build an argument that if something was bound to happen then why is the doer on the wrong? if me getting robbed was bound to happen and it was a test for me from god then why is robber wrong? he is just doing what needs to be done.

We are being tested based on our choice.

The test is not static. It is dynamic and keep evolving based on causation. God has created this universe for test.
After robber made his choice comprising his innate moral values, you are being tested how you behave in case of loss.
You will be tested at every step about what choices you make.

Either with happiness or sorrow as mentioned ” We are inflicting you with sorrow and happiness to test To Us shall you return. (21:35)

god was testing him with robbery. so the robber just made it practical. he was suppose to get robbed. similarly a person’s time was u he would die, so why do we blame the murderer. as quran said:

    Surah Aal-Imran (3:154)

“If they had been with us, they would not have died or been killed.” Say, “Even if you had been inside your houses, those decreed to be killed would have come out to their death beds…”

God didnt make any one robber. Person become by their own choice.
Pls see above threads I mentioned.
Please dont take verse out of context it says
Read the verse complete verse again. This is a way of making a point when people were fearing death. They could have died at their bed or they can die in battle field defending Islam.

Yes people are destined to die.
Now, choice, cause and effect will decide when, how and where person dies.

“Then after distress, He sent down serenity in the form of drowsiness overcoming some of you, while others were disturbed by evil thoughts about Allah—the thoughts of ˹pre-Islamic˺ ignorance. They ask, “Do we have a say in the matter?” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “All matters are destined by Allah.” They conceal in their hearts what they do not reveal to you. They say ˹to themselves˺, “If we had any say in the matter, none of us would have come to die here.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Even if you were to remain in your homes, those among you who were destined to be killed would have met the same fate.” Through this, Allah tests what is within you and purifies what is in your hearts. And Allah knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart.”

“those among you who were destined to be killed would have met the same fate”

doesn’t this clearly states that once your time is up, you will die any way?

Yes! death is inevitable. But last part tells us again it was a test for them.

As i said earlier, the verse is making a point.

in urdu as we say ” Yeah kam tou kerna parega chahy ro ker kero ya hans ker”

In similar way it implies ” Mooat tou ani hai chahay medan e jang main ho ya apnay bister per”

“jab time pora ho to marna hi hoga chahay medan e jang me ho ya bistar me”

same thing the quran said that if their time was up they would’ve died any way

    “those decreed to be killed”

so my question is if God has Given X amount of time then murderer can argue that his tome was up and he would’ve died anyway.

As i mentioned earlier, God has not removed cause and effect.
Death is inevitable. But choices are made in this world.

if death is supposed to happen at 10pm on 11 th may, 2025 then it doesn’t matter who pulls the trigger.
