In India muslims are forced by some hindu extremists to chant “Bharat mata ki jay”….which roughly translates as “Glory to the mother india”…

Although forcing someone is wrong and against the law…..but muslims mostly site the reason for not chanting it that it is against the principal of Islam……we are told it is “shirk”… calling the land as mother(deducting it as your feeder or protector) and then glorifying it(as the glory lies only with Allah) makes it some form of Shirk…

Which is the farahi view on this….does this slogan fall in some sort of shirk category?

Shrik is associating partners with God. Calling land mother or father deos not amount to shirk. It just indicates that the land provides us as our parents provides us. It is associating land with mother or father, not with God. The way God provides is not like what land or parents provide. God creates things while parents or lands reproduce or distribute them.
