Please indicate what aspect you want to be explained particularly.

This part “An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, ‘O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,’”

I would like to know whether the sin referred to in this hadeeth is a minor sin or a major sin? Or both? If it is both, why is it both?

Isn’t every human being bound to commit minor sins, and when a major sin is not committed he will be forgiven. But according to this hadith, even when he commits a small sin, it is still not forgiven (because he tells others about the small sin he committed)

for example, at night I watched a porn video (this is clearly a small sin) and in the morning I told my friend what I did at night (my intention was to do it just for fun, not with the intention of rejecting Allah’s commandments). Is this behavior in accordance with the hadith above? If so, what makes this kind of behavior unforgivable

Every narration is understood in the light of the principles. It is definitely about the major sins. However, if one is not ashamed of his minor sins, it might lead him to major ones too. Unless a major is not committed, the minor stays minor.

So as long as he feels that what he is doing is embarrassing if it is done in public instead of boasting and telling everyone with pride, then this does not fall under the major sin?

Like the example I mentioned earlier about watching porn videos at night and then telling his friends just for fun, not to boast about his behavior, is this correct sir?

If one is ashamed of it while telling it, he does not fall in this category. But exposing a sin for fun falls in this category. Also, it is promoting Fuhush.

Sorry sir, I would like to ask again about this. I still don’t understand why making jokes about minor sins can fall into the category of arrogance.

Instead, I see it as an adult reminiscing about the naughty things he did as a child, of course this is done to entertain the people who hear it.

Of course, if he said out loud that he was proud of his lewd behavior and didn’t feel any guilt, that would fall into this category. However, since he was just joking around for fun without any sense of pride in his behavior, does this fall into the arrogant category?

If so, can you explain how this behavior falls into the category of arrogance?

In particular cases your sense of morality can judged for yourself. If an act is mild and harmless it won’t be in the category of arrogance.

So for cases like this, it is our sense of morality that can determine whether or not this falls under arrogance. Since arrogance can only be seen in action, we don’t know whether someone is acting in a arrogance manner or not until we see the person’s actions.

And it should also be seen whether the behavior (such as jokes about minor sins) looks normal or can cause problems in society. If it can cause problems then we must be careful because it can fall into the category of arrogance.

      Is this correct?

    Right.
