Sir I have bought a crypto currency back in 2022 when it suddenly crashed from being priced at a $100 to less then even a cent in a matter of hours. I saw this as an opportunity and for only a small investment I bought a huge amount of that currency with a feeling that it will go back up in the longer run and will make me great profit. It’s more than 3 years but the value of that has not increased to a level where I would like to sell, it is some what the same. I don’t mind holding it as long as it takes because the investment was something I can afford to lose.

I had a feeling the other day that may it fall under gambling although my intension was investment but I can be wrong.

Please shed some light on it.

Gambling and profit from investment are two different things. In gambling, you do not give anything valuable and win or lose by guessing only. On the other hand, investment offers others to buy something valuable with their money. It, too, involves risk, but mere risk does not make investment gambling.
