I watched ghamidi sahib’s explanation of this story in quran and it made total sense and even from the Quran it’s clearly indicating that the fruit that was forbidden for them to eat from a specific tree was actually an allegory for sexual intimacy and that tree is the tree of generations by which a human becomes eternal in some way in the worldly life. Quran even says that after eating it they started to cover themselves which clearly indicates that it definitely was sexual intimacy otherwise it makes no sense one eats from a tree of apple or fig and then suddenly their private parts become known to them.

But my q is ; why did classical scolars didn’t mention this in their tafsir. They take it too literal that they say it was a tree and it was a specific fruit, fig or apple ! They don’t talk about it like ghamidi sahib explains.

Didn’t they saw the Quran actually explained it by the other verses like covering their private parts etc.

Scolars like Ibn kathir and at Tabbari, these people know arabic, the their native tongue, so how did they not saw this what ghamidi sahib is explaining ?
