AA – Many people (not going for Hajj) may find it easier to offer a Qurbani these days, but harder / less practical to abstain from shaving or a haircut.

    1) Is their Qurbani still valid, because as a nafal ibadat of nazar, at least they did what they could: i.e., Qurbani, even if they could not perform one aspect of that ibadat?

    2) What if they forgot to abstain, and realized it after the fact?

It is not obligatory but a recommended act. Qurbani is still valid if this particular practice is not followed.
