Is masah on socks only allowed if there is hardship in washing the feet or can one do it in normal circumstances as well as an ease. If it is only allowed in hardship do I have to repeat the prayers where I performed masah without any hardship

Putting off socks every time for Wudu itself is a hardship enough that allows to perform Masah on socks, it doesn’t required extra hardship.

So if I understand correctly no hardship is required to perform masah on socks if your wearing them then you can wipe over it. Would it also be fine to wear sock specifically to perform masah on them after wudu so that you don’t have to wash feet again and again

Yes, availing easiness is not a bad thing because Deen is easy. God says:

    يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ
