The popular scholar opinion about missed prayers are that: “you have to ask forgiveness from Allah and making up for missed prayers is not based on any evidence”

    Now :

    THE SECOND PICTURE :

If someone misses it due to forgetfulness or sleep, he/she can pray as soon as they remember.

    I want to ask about a 3rd scenario :

What if someone has missed Fajr prayer because they were sleeping but even after waking up they are delaying it and the day has passed, will it be considered as ‘missed’ ?

Delaying a Salah after its time without any genuine reason is equal to missing the Salah on purpose. If possible, then one should still try to make up for it on the hopes and with prayer that God may still accept this Salah as being offered on time and forgive the person for intentional delay.
