What is the fundamental thing that makes magic forbidden in the Qur’an and hadith?
I’m asking this because I have aspirations to make a fantasy-themed game, but since fantasy genres often have magic, I want to know why magic is haram. -

Magic often requires invoking jinn, spirits, or other supernatural forces other than Allah, which constitutes shirk. In some cases, it involves explicit acts of kufr, like desecrating religious texts, mocking divine laws, or making pacts with devils.
وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ ٱلسِّحْرَ
“But the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic”
فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ ٱلْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِۦ
“They learned from them what could cause separation between a man and his wife.”
This shows that magic is also used to harm, break families, spread fear, and destroy relationships – all of which oppose Islam’s core values.

ok this means about shirk
If we remove the things that smell of shirk, can it still be called magic?
for example in the movie harry potter, although this movie focuses on magic, but rarely seen things about shirk. instead magic related to shirk even goes into black magic in this movie. and this kind of magic is included in the category of evil in this movie.

Real life is different from fantasy, I think nobody should have objection to the magic in movies especially what’s like Harry Potter!
