Created To Be Tested By Allah Vs The Story Of Adam And Eve
Assalamu Alaikum,
I have a question about the purpose of human creation in Islam, and I’m confused between two related ideas:
We are created to be tested by Allah in this world, as mentioned in the Quran — to live, be tested, and then face judgment.
The story of Adam and Eve says humans are on Earth because Adam made a mistake by eating from the forbidden tree in Paradise, which led to humans coming down to Earth.
My confusion is:
If humans are here because of Adam’s mistake, then wasn’t that mistake the reason for our existence on Earth?
But if the main purpose of creation is to test humans on Earth, then how does Adam’s mistake fit into the divine plan?
What is the correct understanding of the creation plan
I would appreciate a clear explanation to help me understand how these ideas fit together in Islam. JazakAllahu Khair!
