I was watching Ghamidi sb videos about Taqdeer and he mentioned that some things are already decided such as when and where a person will be born who will be the parents etc. Allah also mentioned about taking the promise (Ehad e Aslat) from each soul which will be sent to this earth which also reflects that someone being born is already decided so my question is if all this is decided then does it also mean who will marry who is also decided? because if a soul being born where and when id already decided then it make sense that parents marrying each other was also decided and a couple decisions about family planning or birth control doesn’t matter at all? No matter what we humans decide in this matter its useless since it’s already decided how many babies they will have?

Taqdir which is written by God can be either Mubram (absolute/non-changeable) or Moallaq (conditional/contingent) as per Quran 13:38-39. As per Quran, only God has the power to change anything which he wills from the written decision.

Example of Mubram Taqdir is that Allah has decided that every human being will taste death. The mode and time of death however have been linked to different factors like healthcare and hygiene etc. This conditionality makes it a Moallaq Taqdir. Therefore, it is important to note that Moallaq destiny is also linked with free will, because its timing depends on certain decisions taken by humans out of their free will.

To answer your question, It is Mubram that human beings will be born in this world. In your words, the souls of Ehd-e-Alast will come to this world, but the time and lineage of their birth is Moallaq, as it depends on the life decisions taken by human beings. Hence it is subjected to several conditions and contingencies. That is why there is nothing which prevents a human being from family planning, Dua (prayer) for something and striving to achieve some goal in this world.

Please watch the following two videos for further details:

    (Quran: 13:38-39) – from 24:20 to 29:22

Jazakallah brother! but as per my understanding Quran 13:38-39 tells about both Mubram (absolute/non-changeable) or Moallaq (conditional/contingent) but the ayah only states that Allah changes the Moallaq which make sense to me as well since these are conditional and depends on human actions but I am still not satisfied with the answer. If being born is Mubram then how can time and linage be Moallaq and dependent on human actions. If the parents decide to not have kids how can it prevent the Mubram which is bound to happen?

It appears that the timing and lineage of birth is not something which is Mubram, the birth of soul itself is Mubram just like death. Person A may choose to not have kids while the Person B might get triplets. The birth did happen and souls came to this world, the decision and effort by humans played a role in ultimate timing and lineage of birth, which makes this specific portion of birth Moallaq. Of course this is my understanding, please feel free to ask Ghamidi Sahab directly.
